A girlfriend of mine bought me a tin of sachets of Harney & Sons ‘Tower of London’ tea. From the moment I opened the lid of the tin, this blend was a pleasant surprise of scent and texture.
Anything that is named after a major tourist attraction led me to believe it may not be the highest of quality tea, but this black blend is quite delicious and smooth. Their website describes it as:
“Chinese black teas are stirred with pieces of dried stone fruit, then finished with oil of bergamot and honey flavor. This blend is reminiscent of Elizabethan preserves, flavorful and tempting.”
I love this tea and I also enjoyed touring the actual Tower of London in 2012. Such an amazingly historic landmark and this tea blends brings to mind an historic brew. Two pinkies up for me!
