It’s just a tick cooler out today and the perfect temperature to enjoy some tea out on the deck. I went out and cut some flowers from the garden for a wee bouquet. Not much to choose from at the moment as all the daisies are almost gone by and the entire garden is kind of in a lull. The lilies should be blooming in the next couple of weeks though. Something to look forward to! For this bouquet I was able to collect a few Heliopolis (yellow), Sundown echinacea (Orange) and my lovely white daisies. I JUST missed a wonderful bumble bee enjoying the echinacea in the bouquet on the table before I could grab my camera.
I decided on a white tea setting with my tall, modern-looking teapot and the only white teacups and saucers I have. I don’t technically think these are for tea though. Might be for cappuccino. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I wouldn’t know.
The tea of choice today was one of my favorites Yorkshire Tea! I love this strong blend and every time I have some I’m reminded of our time in York, England.
To add some color, I cut some fresh strawberry slices and added a sprig of fresh mint from a container on my deck. If I had had the energy, a scone would have hit the spot, but I wanted to get outside before the temps got hotter.
I also had a visitor during my tea. A robin was positioned beside a tree just off the deck, but I was very concerned. He stayed in the exact same position as he is in the photo below for a good 15 minutes. I was concerned something was wrong with him. Never moved his head, or his wing. Then suddenly he flew off. It was nice to have some company, but he wasn’t the most lively guests I’ve had.
