We FINALLY had a warm, sunny day on a weekend where I could enjoy tea outside on the deck. It has been a horribly cloudy, rain-filled month of May here in central Maine.
I cut some wee pink wild flowers (some may call them weeds) from the yard and pulled out my favorite teapot and teacup pattern with pink roses. Some Scottish oatcakes were the tea treat. My favorite Earl Gray loose tea from Bigelow Tea was a welcome brew to compliment the flaky oatcakes and an Irish linen napkin captured the crumbs.
Listening to the spring birds chirp around me and the occasional call of the loon is the perfect soundtrack to tea outside on the stream.
