Yes, I DID spell the word anniversary incorrectly in my blog post title. Brain aneurysm survivors often call our aneurysms “annies” for short. And as we celebrate the annual remembrance of surviving brain aneurysms, we can refer to that date as our “annie-versary”.
Today, October 5th is my 19th annie-versary. AND it’s a beautiful day here in Maine, so I enjoyed a large pot of my favorite tea, Fortmason from Fortnum & Mason out on the deck in one of my favorite teacups.

Certainly a very different morning than it was 19 years ago when I suffered my ruptured brain aneurysm. You can read more about that adventure on my brain blog if you’d like. Heidi’s Brain Blog (read more)…
The Peach Damask, Old Country Roses pattern on this Royal Albert china teacup is a favorite as well as the handle on the teacup. Many teacups don’t allow you to hook your finger through them. No doubt because etiquette doesn’t allow one to hold your teacup in that fashion. But with my shaky hand, it’s a stabilizing feature and this teacup allows that. I also find peach and rose pattern really lovely.

I didn’t have any tasty treats to enjoy with it today, but I’m sure I’ll whip something up this week as the temperatures get back to normal Autumn ranges. It’s supposed to be 80º tomorrow!
Cheers, to another year of living!
