Although my weekly holiday scone extravaganza took at hit due to getting a stomach bug last weekend, I was able to whip up the 2nd installment this weekend.
This week’s flavor was the Yuletide Cheer scone mix from King Arthur Flour. A delightful rum-flavored scone studded with cranberries, golden raisins, and crunchy pecans.
I opted for doing drop scones this time, which meant their shape and size were determined by how much dough I grabbed with the first handful. The mix box claimed I should have 9 scones, but the size I used gave me 7. Then I added a lovely glaze and they were perfection.
The tea of choice was another holiday selection from Tea Forté called Winter Chai. The vanilla in this blend complimented the spices in the scones perfectly.
My Winterberry teacup & saucer added even more warmth and coziness to this week’s holiday scone mix selection. Next up: Gingerbread scones for Christmas Day!
