I love tea. I love black tea. I love British and Scottish tea, so it was only natural I signed up for the Tea Time Club out of the UK for three months. It’s expensive, I don’t care. 🙂 It makes me happy.
I received my first beautifully packaged box from the UK for January a couple of weeks ago and finally was able to sit and enjoy it all today. The simple white box contained four individually packaged baked shortbread treats from Reids of Caithness, Scotland and four different tea blends from The Wee Tea Company from the county of Fife in Scotland.
Today I opened the Classic Assam tea blend, which is a wonderful golden orange pekoe and is very smooth. Then I popped open the Vanilla & Walnut shortbread. YUM! So buttery, fresh and crumbly. As true shortbread should be.
Of course I had to use my Tain pottery teacup and teapot from Scotland. As I was wrapping up the photo shoot, I realized our two “sentries” guarding the entrance to our home were slightly in the shot. Yes, they are giant stuffed Scotsman outfitted in full tartan….for Glenfiddich whisky. LOL How appropriate. They also included single tea filters to use with the loose tea. LOVE IT!
