Autumn Scones & Tea

Golden leaves with tinges of amber are starting to display here on the stream. Pumpkin spice is…well, EVERYWHERE, and one starts to seek cozy comforts indoors with baked goods!

My neighbor gifted me with a wonderful scone mix from The Scone Goddess here in Northport, Maine. The Pumpkin Cinnamon Chip Scone Mix is wicked easy to assemble and they have a fabulous cinnamon flavor. I added a few thin slices of Macintosh apples the last 10 minutes of baking for additional flourish.

The soft white of the tiny pumpkin matched the Claddagh mug and plate from Belleek Pottery in Ireland. The purple hues of the hydrangea was about the only thing still flowering for me. A strong cup of Darjeeling from Fortnum & Mason complimented the subtle spice of the scones.

Pumpkins, fall foliage, dried hydrangeas, hot tea, and scones. Bring on the cozy!

Cheers!
