Blue & White Tea

Our long holiday weekend, remembering and honoring those who served and paid the ultimate price, has started out very well weather wise. I should be using red, white, and blue as my theme, but due to the spectacular weather, I’m feeling a bit more summery and opted for just blue and white – summers other colors?

My stripy Cornishware teapot and teacup fits the bill perfectly! This color combo always cheers me. Filled up with my favorite Yorkshire Gold tea also cheers me.

My garden is lacking flowers as the moment, but I remembered we might have some Lily of the Valley along the front of the house. Lo and behold, a small bumper crop was showing itself in the shade.

Not only do they look and smell lovely, but they also filled my wee blue bottle vase nicely. And in a small way, I am remembering my late sister Dori as well. She loved this flower and insisted on having it in her spring wedding bouquet.

I know this will be the first of many teas out on the deck this summer!

Cheers!
