I tried my hand at a tea sandwich with a Christmas tree cutout from a cookie cutter. It didn’t photograph well, but I still found it festive.

A nicely minced ham salad was the filling and my favorite Yorkshire Tea was a warm combination in my beautiful winter-white Winterberry teacup. I also got to use my vintage dessert tongs and the 2-tier serving tray I picked up from The Brooklyn Teacup a couple of years ago. I might have to start looking on eBay for a Winterberry tiered tray to go with the rest of my teacup and teapots! I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen one.

I also enjoyed some peppermint shortbread cookies that I baked. I cut the recipe in half in case it wasn’t good or I messed it up. The recipe was very easy, but I had to order the Andes peppermint crunch baking chips online, as they didn’t appear to be available anywhere locally here in Maine. I have plenty of the chips now, and since these were so good and easy, I will most certainly be baking more over the winter.

Then I enjoyed some fabulous chocolate truffles from The Cordial Cherry. I have ordered these once or twice a year for the last several years. I am not a chocolate-covered cherry fan, but their chocolate truffles are VERY tasty. And they’re just so dang cute and carefully decorated. I appreciate the artistry.
I have had fun doing some holiday-themed photo shoots this season. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at them as well. I am wishing you a wonderful holiday and a very happy, healthy New Year!
Cheers!
