We held our eighth annual brain aneurysm awareness event yesterday. After months and months of work and planning, the event went off without a hitch. Well, except for two tent tragedies (it was a tad windy on the coast).
A very long day and a lot of standing and running around always means I’m exhausted and sore the next two days. This morning I rewarded myself with a little tea and the easiest two-ingredient pumpkin spice muffins on the planet.
I grabbed my Brown Betty teapot and a teacup I haven’t used in ages from Noritake China. The bottom of the teacup and the saucer has a lovely delicate painted flowers on them to admire while you’re sipping.
The loose tea of choice today was Scottish Breakfast tea from Taylor’s Of Harrogate I bought at the Maine Highlands Games in August.
The muffins and the tea were a nice respite from my aching muscles and tired brain. A sweet treat.
