It may be an overcast, cloudy gray day, but the late summer flowers are adding major color. I cut a very colorful bouquet using hydrangea, phlox, a couple of fern fronds, and one spectacular rose. With a pot of my favorite Yorkshire Tea, an apple, and some chocolate chip cookies an outdoor tea can be just as lovely in the clouds as it can in the sunshine. Actually it turned out better for photography. The colors really pop with overcast conditions.
