A spectacular summer morning calls for a spectacularly, big-ass teacup! My extra-large thistle teacup from Tain Pottery in Scotland fit the bill perfectly. One needs two hands to lift it when full, especially when it’s filled to the brim with bold Yorkshire Tea.

I added a nice color spectrum from the garden with white daisies, yellow heliopsis, sunset echinacea, and even some green, curly parsley.

In deep contrast with the theme of big and beautiful, I opted to place the wee bouquet into a dainty, hand-painted vase that belonged to my late mother.

I love summer and making my mornings special out on the deck with a cup (big or small) of tea. Cheers!
