Thanksgiving was 3 days ago, so it’s safe to break out all the Christmas stuff, right?
My late mother was a housewife and a piano teacher. My two late sisters and I learned how to play piano from the best. However, she never allowed us to play Christmas music on the piano in the house until after Thanksgiving. All three of us were in school bands that had started playing Christmas music for our Christmas concerts, so it was always frustrating for us at home. But mom made a point of making sure Thanksgiving was it’s own special holiday for family and that Christmas was NOT until after that happened.
So, I always still feel a LITTLE guilty or naughty about listening to Christmas music prior to Thanksgiving (which I did), but I still hold off on getting Christmas things OUT until after Thanksgiving.
I discovered Williams Sonoma sells Fortnum & Mason teas! It’s still expensive, but not nearly as expensive as purchasing it online from England and having it shipped via Royal Mail. Their Christmas Black Tea is a lovely blend of Yunnan black tea flavored with cocoa nibs, cloves, and safflower petals. And they offer it in a stunning tin. Christmas in a cup for sure!

I grabbed one of my favorite Christmas teacups and saucer gifts from my niece. It’s a beautiful white cup that has the famous Winterberry pattern on the INSIDE of the cup and a delicate raised pattern on the outside. And it’s large! What’s not to love?

I picked up a new holiday puzzle from White Mountain puzzles in Vermont so I’m anxious to start that as well. It’s a beautiful display of different holiday wreaths. I don’t THINK it will be too hard, but we shall see!

Christmas tea, cups, and puzzles. Let the fun begin….even though it’s not quite December yet! Shhh……
