Spice, Spice, Baby

A cloudy, cool day said I needed (yes, needed) to bake some pumpkin spice bread. It’s from an older Martha Stewart recipe, in fact I don’t even think this particular recipe is listed on her website anymore. It makes two loaves, so I froze one to take out next month. I added walnuts for some crunchy texture and flavor.

The citrus flavor and aroma of Sweet Orange Spice tea from Tea Forté complimented the autumn spices of the bread. And, of course, I had to use my “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice” mug. 

As Halloween approaches and the overly-commercial Christmas promotions start to take hold, I’m trying to keep November as the month to remember and be thankful for everything we already have and to try and give back to those in need.
