It’s April 21st today — Happy National Tea Day! Although I feel like EVERY day is a tea day, it was nice to celebrate the “official” holiday outside on the deck, even if it was a week or so early.
We had an usually warm week a couple of weeks ago and my first outside tea was enjoyed in almost 70 degree morning temperatures. Maine doesn’t get that warm in April. There was only one small batch of ice on the banking of the steam remaining, and it didn’t last much longer.

I enjoyed a full pot of Mrs. Grey tea from Tempest In A Teapot here in Maine. The added citrus and lavender gave a delightful spring-like perk to this lovely brew. I kept the teapot covered with my tea cozy to retain the heat.

Even though the teapot and the teacup are a mismatch, they do have a common thread in that they were both gifts from some cherished friends and certainly provided floral highlights since nothing is blooming in the garden yet.

We are now back to typical April weather after that brief warmup. It’s cool and rainy, but as they say…”April showers bring May flowers”. And May will bring MORE tea outside. I can’t wait!
Cheers!

I love your floral setting for National Tea Day, that is your day, that is for sure! Glad you celebrated when the weather was lovely. Now we are back to the wicked ups and downs of Spring. XoXoXo- Jenny
