As we near the Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end of summer, I’m trying to take advantage of those nice days outside on the deck when I can.

Adorable mini Lemon-blueberry scones and some strong Fortnum Mason tea bring a bold taste to my latest sitting. Some cut mini hydrangeas lend a lighter flare. Their creamy color will soon start to turn to deep burgundy as autumn looms closer.

My favorite Scottish thistle teapot & cup and saucer that I purchased at the Maine Highland Games many year ago reminded me that the games were coming up and I had hoped to replenish my Yorkshire tea supply. However, I was highly disappointed with the lack of vendors selling tea this year. It was mostly jewelry and I have plenty. I guess another Amazon order is in my future. Even the pottery selection this year was limited and not the most attractive in my opinion.

I’ll be very busy at work the next several months, as I always am in the fall months, but I still try to enjoy the weather when I can. More scones and tea are in my future!
