Fall Scones and Foliage

I enjoyed some homemade chocolate-chip, vanilla cream scones with a pot of Lapsang Souchong tea outside on the deck. The patterns on the teapot and cup mirror the yellows and golds from the canopy of trees.

The campfire-like warmth of the strong tea paired nicely with the scones as the mini-chocolate chips scattered throughout mean you get chocolate in every bite.

I also created the lovely wee flower arrangement from a $9 bouquet at the supermarket. They’re just the perfect colors added to the little gold urn.

Here on the stream, the leaves are changing colors on a daily basis as seasonal folks are closing up their cabins and pulling the boats and docks out of the water. Geese are getting ready to fly south and the sun is setting lower and earlier.

I’ll be on a trip next week to Boston for daily tea and pastries. You can follow along with this link.
