Today is Christmas Eve. I don’t have to work. We ARE going to have a White Christmas. We don’t need to go anywhere and we’re both healthy. I don’t think we could ask for anything else in 2021.
Winter has settled in “nicely” here in Maine with snow and ice and very chilly temperatures. Hot beverages and comfort food is on tap through the end of the year.
On this crisp but sunny morning I thought a Lapsang Souchong tea would be the perfect cozy brew. I grabbed my weary, but sentimental wooden tray that my late mother bought me many years ago. It has seen better days but the hand-painted winter scene is perfect for a day like today.

One of my favorite holiday teacups is this Pfaltzgraff stunner given to me by my niece a couple of years ago. The popular Winterberry pattern is used inside the cup, which is very unique and beautiful. The raised pattern on the outside is also lovely.

The cute addition to this scene is the rest of the chocolate truffles Christmas Gnome collection from The Cordial Cherry. The absolutely adorable gnome is surrounded by mushrooms and other delicious goodies adding a touch of whimsy and magic.

May the warmth and spirit of the Christmas season bring you joy and good health in the coming year. Cheers!
